It’s weird when Windows Defender is still in BETA, many Windows XP users eagerly wanting to install and see how great it is. Now Windows Vista has Windows Defender installed by default, many people are looking for ways to disable, uninstall or remove it from system as they prefer to use other anti spyware programs. Is Windows Defender a failure? I don’t know because I don’t use it as well since I already have Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0 on my computer.

Here is how to safely disable Windows Defender in Windows Vista

There are 2 ways to stop Windows Defender from auto starting when Windows is booted up.

The hard way.
1. Go to Start > Run and type services.msc

vidyologo.jpgToday, Vidyo announced that it has set a new benchmark in videoconferencing by developing the first system to attain 1140p video quality in an HD multiparty video conference over general purpose IP networks. Its VidyoConferencing setup is able to deliver 2560 x 1440p resolution over a standard Internet connection courtesy of an unique architecture and VidyoRouter technology.

VidyoConferencing supporting 1440p requires at least a 4Mbps internet connection, and will be available for use in July (for a limited time Vidyo customers can try it for free using Vidyo’s Version 2 software). Vidyo claims its architecture offers the only multipoint videoconferencing that does not transcode, yet delivers rate matching without adding latency. This capability allows low-latency conferencing between devices and networks that can support 1440p, and other devices connected to less powerful networks.

The 1440p VidyoConferencing will be demonstrated on an executive desktop setting with an Intel i7 processor at the InfoComm 2010 conference in Las Vegas, June 9-11th 2010.

HTC Wants to Block iPhone and iPad sales

by admin on May 12, 2010

HTC has announced it is suing Apple for infringing five of its patents in the US.
The Taiwanese firm is seeking an injunction against the import and sale of the iPhone iPad and iPod in the US, meaning this war could quickly escalate.
“As the innovator of the original Windows Mobile PocketPC Phone Edition in 2002 and the first Android smartphone in 2008, HTC believes the industry should be driven by healthy competition and innovation that offer consumers the best, most accessible mobile experiences possible,” said Jason Mackenzie, VP of North America for HTC.

“We are taking this action against Apple to protect our intellectual property, our industry partners, and most importantly our customers that use HTC phones.”
